Teaching Philosophy
Art is omnipresent, and every child deserves the chance to explore, appreciate, and participate in it. It provides a secure space for exploration and, when needed, a refuge.
As Albert Einstein famously said, "A student is not a container you have to fill but a torch you have to light up." To accomplish this, my primary focus is on empowering my students with hands-on knowledge and enriching their understanding of art vocabulary. I aim to offer them diverse opportunities to explore various mediums, both two-dimensionally and three-dimensionally, fostering avenues for self-expression. Moreover, I am dedicated to equipping them with the ability to articulate their artistic creations and intentions eloquently and tactfully in front of others. These skills not only nurture their artistic development but also cultivate vital life skills such as problem-solving, decision-making, and the ability to deliver presentations that authentically reflect their identities.
